A user with the nickname Eric Cartman published a video on his YouTube channel where the Xiaomi Mi Robot vacuum cleaner speaks Russian.
True, all his words and phrases are recorded in a typical Russian manner with the voice of the bot Maxim. In the video, the smart vacuum cleaner was outraged why people he calls leather bastards can't clean up after themselves. He also created the appearance of his work.

The video went viral on the Internet: more than 135 thousand people watched it. Despite the fact that there are already countless videos with the voice acting of the Maxim bot, they still remain relevant.

Recommendations for maintaining the robot vacuum cleaner

I have put together a set of important rules that will allow you to operate your vacuum cleaner correctly.

  • After each wet cleaning, be sure to remove the bracket with a rag. The rag should be thoroughly washed, rinsed and dried.

  • Remove and clean the dust container as necessary.

  • If you clean every day, then completely rinse the dust container and filter at least once a week. Rinse the filter with running water and shake out excess water and dirt. Never touch the filter with your hands; try to hold it by the plastic base. After cleaning the filter, it should be dried for at least 24 hours. Do not dry the filter on batteries, as it can become severely deformed.

  • You should clean the main side brush and the wheels at least once a week to remove any entangled hair and fur. Almost all models come with a special brush for cleaning and trimming hair. On new models, the main brush is disassembled.

  • Many manufacturers prohibit the use of cleaning products for wet cleaning. But some models allow the use of special floor cleaning products. You can find out about this in the user manual for your model.

Can't find the database: what to do?

If there are no questions for the cleaning robot, but the problem begins when it returns to the base - for some reason the robot vacuum cleaner does not go to the base or does not find it, diagnostics is needed.

You can carry out all events without a master:

  • Sometimes users forget to remove the film from the infrared panel at the station. Make sure that the sensors are not covered with dirt or foreign objects.
  • Check that there is no damage to the station. The cord should also not be twisted, pinched or broken.
  • Also, sometimes the robot does not move to the base, since it started cleaning from another place, where it wants to return after the cycle.
  • It is not necessary that the Tefal or other robot vacuum cleaner does not work because it is broken. Sometimes the station is not installed correctly. There should be no obstacles around it at a distance of half a meter. Read about other requirements in the instructions for your device.

iCLEBO O5 WiFi

In the 2022 iClebo O5 model, Korean manufacturers Yujin Robot have eliminated the only drawback of their previous Omega design - now the vacuum cleaner connects to a smartphone and executes commands from the voice assistants Alexa and Google Assistant. The base battery has been replaced with a premium lithium battery (5200 mAh).

The improvements made increased the cost of the vacuum cleaner to 40 thousand rubles. The rest of the functionality remained unchanged. The vast majority of users – 96% – recommend purchasing this model.

Without unnecessary noise and dust, Roborock managed to make a small revolution in the market of household robotic cleaners. Not a single device that was previously in our test laboratory handled dirty floors as well and effectively as this new product! Without any exaggeration, the Roborock S7 cleans the floor much better than other models with a combined type of cleaning. And it copes with dust no worse, although it has many competitors in this field. But if the function of cleaning the floor is important to you, then we have not yet come across a better candidate for purchase. And if you also have enough carpets in your home, then the Roborock S7 might just be the best gift.

Most likely, in the fight for the target audience, other manufacturers will now have to follow Roborock. We would really like to call this model a standard among its peers, but, in fairness, it is worth noting that it is still not without its shortcomings, although there are very few of them:

  • a single hole for supplying water to the cleaning cloth;
  • I would like a little more cross-country ability;
  • Lack of spare consumable accessories included in the delivery package.

But the advantages that the new robot can boast can be described much longer:

  • thoughtful design: separation of the washing part and the suction part;
  • presence of lidar and carpet detection sensor;
  • very high quality of both dry and wet cleaning;
  • automatic transition from wet to dry cleaning when carpet is detected;
  • automatic lifting mechanism of the washing module;
  • precise navigation;
  • accurate construction of a room map;
  • the widest range of possibilities for working with cards;
  • storing several cards in memory;
  • zone cleaning and setting virtual restrictions;
  • selecting the power level and vibration strength of the washing module;
  • setting a work schedule and cleaning settings for each zone separately;
  • possibility of quiet cleaning.

The only thing the owner of this robot could wish for is a self-cleaning station. It is currently available for sale, but will have to be purchased separately. Summing up the testing results, we state that the Roborock S7 is a model that can be safely recommended for purchase. The price of the new robot is not so small, but it is significantly less than its more famous, but much more stupid brothers, which are two and sometimes even three times more expensive. In contrast, the Roborock S7 is definitely worth the money spent.

This robot vacuum cleaner uses bristles to sweep and mop floors using a microfiber pad. There is no water reservoir: you will have to wet the fabric manually. The device collects litter into a 350 ml container, without leaving even small crumbs. Side brushes sweep debris out of the most difficult to reach corners.

Using five built-in sensors, the gadget detects obstacles and changes in height and confidently maneuvers while cleaning. However, buyers write that it has difficulty crossing interior thresholds.

What to do if the brush does not work?

The device has one or two side brushes . Plus, some devices have a central brush. If the brush of a robot vacuum cleaner does not work, then first you should clean it thoroughly.

You often clean, so you will find a lot of debris on it - hair, dust, dirt, and so on. Due to dirt, the wheels may also stop moving . Don't be lazy to clean them too.

If, after putting the clean brushes back in place, you hear a noise, then most likely they were installed incorrectly. Remove and install again.

But when cleaning the brushes did not help, and the side brush still does not work on the robot vacuum cleaner, you can think about repairs. Contact the service center, they will help you replace the gearbox or install a new brush.

The goal is achieved: the vacuum cleaner is talking. I'm glad I didn't make too much of everything at once. The next step is to connect pattern recognition with the flow that regulates traffic, and also try transfer learning.

Artificial intelligence is such a voluminous topic that it is difficult to determine what to tackle first. In my opinion there is no single point of entry. You don't necessarily need to start with complex derivative calculations or a Python programming course (although both are certainly useful). Choose what interests you personally, and may the strength be with you to complete what you started.

Before using the robot for the first time, you need to download and install the free Roborock application on your smartphone, with which you can remotely make all the robot settings, switch cleaning programs, edit room maps, and even watch the cleaning process online. However, you can run an automatic cleaning program or local cleaning of a separate area without connecting the Roborock S7 to your home local network. To do this, just press one of the keys on the control unit on the case. The robot itself will determine whether a floor cleaning module is installed in it and begin working. But the user needs to control the presence of water in the tank independently - even when the robot is connected to the network.

Roborock mobile application and selection of cleaning modes

In terms of interface, the Roborock app is much like other mobile apps for controlling robot vacuum cleaners with advanced mapping features. Before cleaning, you can choose its type - dry or combined - as well as one of four levels of suction power, the intensity of vibrations of the washing module and the water entering it, as well as the mop route. The latter is generally unique for robots with similar functions - when choosing the intensive mode, dust suction is not performed and combined cleaning turns into wet.

Using the application, you can also set a work schedule. In addition, you can start cleaning a separate room or one of the zones into which you have divided your home space. For each of them, you can set your own personalized cleaning settings, including the number of passes (from one to three).

Working with maps

After the first pass, Roborock S7 not only created a very accurate map of the room, but also intelligently divided it into rooms, the boundaries of which were exactly where they were intended when arranging the apartment. Well, if you consider that there were only two doors inside the apartment and they were open, it seemed that the robot also read the thoughts of its owners. But let’s hope that household appliances have not yet reached this point, and if the uprising of machines takes place, it will not be in our lifetime. Trying to prove to the machine that it is not so smart, we decided to divide the premises into more rooms. It turned out to be quite easy to do this. Rooms can be divided and combined, and given names. You can also install virtual walls in rooms that the device cannot pass through, and restricted areas that the robot will not probe with its sensors that explore everything. Well, you can also create zones on the map in which wet cleaning will not be carried out. For example, it could be a room or part of it with expensive parquet.

Changing the order of cleaning rooms and working with carpets

The order in which rooms are cleaned can also be changed. You can store up to four cards in memory - this is enough for a huge house. Also worthy of special mention is the fact that the Roborock S7 is probably the first robot vacuum cleaner that automatically maps carpets (they are displayed as shading)! When hitting an area of ​​the carpet, the robot not only lifts the wet cleaning module and switches to vacuum cleaner mode, but also cleans it separately. That is, having arrived at a carpet, it will first clean its entire area, and then return to cleaning the rest of the area.
