How to determine the density of a laminate?

In a store they are unlikely to tell you the value of this parameter for any particular laminate. Therefore, you can check by comparison, scratching with a fingernail or a door or car key along the end of the laminate board. Try this on a more expensive and thick laminate and on a cheaper one.
