Pressure standards:

  • cold water - 0.3–6.5 atmospheres;
  • hot water - 0.3–4.5 atmospheres.

Measurements are carried out at the water intake point during the morning (from 7.00 to 9.00) or evening peak hours (from 19.00 to 22.00).

Why the tap in the apartment does not flow well: reasons

A decrease in water pressure can occur due to various circumstances. Research should be carried out separately for hot and cold water supplies, since the factors that caused a decrease in pressure in the pipes may differ.

Cold

Reasons why water flows poorly from a cold water tap:

  1. Improperly designed plumbing. When developing a pipe laying scheme in a private or apartment building, mistakes were made and water does not reach the consumer in full.
  2. Reduced pressure in the main pipeline. Sometimes industrial organizations reduce pressure due to poor communications in order to avoid their destruction.
  3. Repair of main pipes.
  4. Overdevelopment of the residential sector. New multi-storey buildings are being built and connected to old communications that are not designed for a large volume of users.
  5. Faulty or low-power pumping station in houses.

If the answers of the prosecutor, employees of the housing inspection or Rospotrebnadzor do not satisfy the consumer, then he has the right to go to court.

How to make a request?

The appeal is drawn up in standard written or printed form:

Duration of the procedure

The management organization must send the consumer a letter stating that the complaint has been received, and also inform about its further actions to resolve this issue within 3 days from the receipt of the complaint (RF Government Decree No. 354, clause 31).
